Is it ok to straighten permed hair?

i've had a perm for about 2 months now. I like it an everything, but somedays i want it straight yunno. I've straightened it with my hair straightener before and last time i did it was 2 weeks ago. Would my perm be ruined if i straightened it once every 1-2 weeks?

your perm wouldn't be ruined but it will damage your hair. the heat from straigtening it can cause your hair to thin out and not be as curly as it could be. your curls will get looser and eventually...after many uses, its be straight here curly there. You should try to straighten is as little as possible!

You need to allow the Perm to run out usually after about 6 weeks. If, you try straighting it now, it will break off. I would not do either, just allow it to grow naturally use a good shampoo and conditioner.

I'm guessing that you can perm it again after straighening it. so if you have your perm and you starighten it , then you have no perm. Then if you perm it again you have one. I am sure it is fine, i mean you still have your hair and it looks good. so your not doing anything wrong.
