Hair straighteners, your opinion please, ceramic or metal plates?

i have a remington with ceramic plates but its only thin or i have a set of vidal sassoon maximum with metal plates, for my new posh bob, which would you say would be the best to use?

i have tried with remington ones but no luck.....HELP

Ceramic ones! They seem to be the least damaging and create the sleekest look. My fave was actually under $20 by conair. I have a small one and a large one.

CERAMIC! A really good one becuase if you get a cheap one it won't look good and you would waste your money!

Ceramic plates are better for your hair. If you plan on using it all the time go with that. If its only for occasional use metal plates will straighten it faster and won't cause too much damage cause you're not using it that often. Make sure you use a really good conditioner too. You'll be gorgeous!

Hair straighteners with ceramic plates usually give the best results for straightening your hair. The proffesionals at salons usually use either:

-CHI (most common)

-GHD

-sedu

-maxiglide

The straighteners above usually take about 10 - 15 min to straighten your hair if it is around medium - long hair. It's pricy though, around $90 - $170.

I would go with the ceramic one. I have a ceramic one from conair. I got it at wal-mart for like $30.00. The ceramic ones don't straighten as fast but they don't damage your hair as much.

ceramic is always best...try to get one that heats rather quickly. decide how high the temp max should be by the type of hair you ...for example if you have thick hair the temp should go up to 420 degrees....

...big paddled straightners are good if you have long hair...

...smaller paddled straightners are good for if you have med - short hair and if you wanna get closer to the scalp of your hair...

there's no question here - its has to be ceramic plates, they have revolutionised hair straightening especially the ghds which are without doubt number 1.

metals straightens hair faster but mind you it burns especially when you have a soft skin. Ceramics are slow in yielding results but then they are mild to the skin. Now if you have a sturborb hair or a strong hair, why not go for metals but if you have the time and patience then I will always advice you to use ceramics. you will love it.
