My hair straightner is starting to smell really bad. This happens all the time and I have gone through so many hair straighteners because I cant take the smell anymore after a while. It smells worse than burnt hair. I don't know what to do to make the smell go away. Has anyone had this problem before and what have you done?

you could try wiping and cleaning the plates of the straightener with a damp paper towel,mine didn't start smelling,but the plates turned kinda brown,so i just cleaned it with a cloth,maybe ur using to much serum too,maybe that's why it stinks,coz it's burning the serum!!!

use a spray for straightening. like right before your about to straighten your hair spray the whole head with tresemme thermal creations or the other tresemme spray.then wait like 2 minute, don't flat iron wet hair. when its dry, flat iron it
