Is Hair relaxing worth having ??

I have mega frizzy and curly hair. And i mean mega !! Would it be worth paying in a salon to get it relaxed or wont it make much difference . I currently straighten it with hair straighteners but it doesn't stay straight for any longer than half an hour. PLEASE HELP!! X

There are pros and cons.

You can relax your hair for an expensive price at the salon. Then you will have to keep going back allllllll the time possibly every month to have touch ups.

You can relax your hair yourself or a buddy can do it with an inexpensive home kit. Then you will still have to keep doing it again allllllll the time possibly every month to have touch ups.

Either way if you don't keep doing it your hair will definately break off.

Or you could just embrace your curls and search for a nice style in the salon or in a nice hair magazine that you like. All hair is different and even though you feel yours could not get worse. Trust me I have seen worse.

the salon may have one strong enough to relax it for a while longer. May not be cheap but if you're willing to pay, try it. If you are white, you may need the stronger solutions that blacks use.

if your going to have the salon do it then it's fine, you should never do it yourself. Alot of people don't agree with it because your putting chemicals in your hair but EVERYTHING you use has chemicals and i bet those people don't have the type of hair that needs relaxing. I get my hair relaxed every 6 weeks by a professional and i have no breakage no split ends and healthy hair NEVER DO IT YOURSELF. do know that once you do it though there is no going back then you will have severly damaged hair so once you make the decision it is a life long commitment. so good luck choose wisely

in my opinion and with my hair its not worth it at all. i have super curly hair and even going to a salon to get it relaxed didn't work for much longer than 3 washes then it curled right back up. finally i just gave up trying to relax and straighten it. it was a waste of money for my hair

yes it's worth it but i relax my own hair to save money from going to salon and my hair turns out perfect without all of the expenses...i don't relax it too much tho and i flat iron once a week and just wrap my hair, been working fine for me.
