I want my hair to be straight, but no matter what I do, it just waves up an hour or so later.?

My hair is wavy and thick and goes down to the shoulders. I am mostly Irish, with fair skin, freckles, and blue blue eyes. My hair is blondish, but I have never been able to get it to stay straight! I have tried "Straighten Up" shampoo and conditioner from SunSilk, a hair straightener with 25 heat settings AND turbo, and FrizzEase serum and creams. No matter what, my hair frizzes up and doesn't stay straight. Do any products work for extremely unruly hair? I'm losing faith in hair products!!!

you can get your hair relaxed.. or a "progressive blow dry"

the " progressive blow dry " is 2 step process in which the stylist applies the chemicals and creams in your hair then blows it out then irons it. you then cant wet it or tie it for 3-4 days just to make sure the stuff sets in... after that you might not even need to blow dry your hair until your roots grow back out .... long enough to be noticed that is...

this process can't be done on any one because if you have weak hair the chemicals might cause the hair to fall out... this is why you must hydrate your hair with cream treat ments so it is strong...

and also you should see a hair stylist before you try anything... you might want to see one at an ethnic salon because they have more experience with curly or " nappy" hair

those products dont work, just buy the home straightning kit at a drug store, have someone to help, adn your hair would be really smooth adn strait!

i am tired i have the same thing i have alot of irish in me to i think everyone hates me but oh well i feel the same way about hair products i have the same prob. i use a straightner and then i put hair gel in then if you get it wet it will curl my friend has a hundred dolar straightner it works real good and holds for 3 days!!!

if you sleep w/ it down it makes i a lot frizzier

but try sleeping w/ your hair in a quick fix bun when its wet some times it works some times not but make shore when you get up that you use hair spry

i have to say LMAO i have a similar problem....but its not as bad like u are secribing urs....im guessin use a lot of hair spray and gel like i do..if u want it to maintain curly and its really pretty like tht i wear ma hair down all the time!......but if u want it straight.....i use L'oreal paris studio line hot striaght ...its heat activated...it WORKS and jus make sure ur straightner is a good one.... they need to get really hot....and tht is heat activated best of wishes! ~1~real

i have the same problem.. some ppl told me to use conditioner alot. I cant tell if it is really working tho. i just want u to know that ur not alone! :)

I have the same exact problem. I have think, wavy hair and I like it straight. I don't even bother with a blow dryer because my hair will just frizz. So i shower @ night, with my hair in low pony tail (this keeps the roots flat so you don't have to bother tring to get those down and straight). Then i use this product by Herbal Essences called "dangerously straight", spray that on my hair and straighten over it.

It's been working for me so far. Hope this helps!
