i managed to break my ceramic straighteners today.

i need to get some new ones and have seen a pair on offer.

they are crystal plates ? does anyone know what the difference is between the ceramic plates and the crystal plates ?

you should buy a straightner that will last you years and in my experience there are very few that do that.the GHD is the best but if u are in america u will have to order it online or you can opt for a CHI iron both have ceramic plates.the run between 130-170 they are expensive but worth it.

Ceramic is proved the best as it heats up better and glides throough the hair rather then pulling it.the same type of ceramic is used in round brushes for hair dressers when combined with the heat from a hairdryer it acts as a strightner.Crystal plates are not as good in myexperience as they dnt penatrate the same heat

I have heard that chi works the best but they are quite pricey.

no but id stick with ceramic plates because i have really thick hair and it worked sooooo well on my hair.

i have thick hair and ceramic works best! i don't have a chi but my friends say it works good!!
