I tend to straighten my hair almost everytime i wash it because I do not like my curly, wavy hair. If I continue to straighten it every two, three or so days, will I loose my hair??

If it is not a good idea to straighten it with a hair straightener then what should I do, since I dont like my natural hair??

No you will not lose your hair. I do the exact same thing I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week, and I straighten when I do this. I've been doing this for a year and a half now. ^_^ hope i helped
