Do hair straighteners that you use when your hair is wet really work?

how do they work and does it damage your hair?

Do hair straighteners that you use when your hair is wet really work?

i bought one thinking it was a dream come true, but honestly, they aren't worth it. it takes too much time esp. if you have thick hair.

but how it works is that you basically section the hair off like you would if you were blow drying it, and then just run the straightener through your hair. basically go slow and just let the straighenter blow dry your hair. and repeat if you are happy, and just do that through out the whole head.

but does it damage your hair? i'm not sure, i know when i used it, it snagged my hair easily and i have pretty straight har. but just try and see for yourself.

they work good even though it sounds like you are frying your hair (it makes a really funny zzzz noise) and i think it damages your hair quite a bit (knowing that heat damages)

ceramic hair straighteners do less damage to ur hair. But curling irons/straighteners/hair blow dryer, the heat damages ur hair, biosilk helps protect it or u can even buy at a beauty salon a relaxer to protect ur hair.

whenever i straighten my hair with my straightener... it works fine

but i hear that your hair gets split ends (which sometimes happens to me)

and also your straightener gets rusty and can get damaged =/

It depends on the product and the type of hair that you have.

If you have curly but not kinky hair, it will work between shampoos. These are primarily for curly hair that gets frizzy with humidity.

If you have KINKY HAIR, only a chemical relaxer or straightener will do.

Yah they work.. till they fry your hair so completely bad it won't straighten nemore!!

Invest in a good ceramic straightener and always protect your hair with heat protection sprays/cremes..

omgsh funny you ask! I was in the store yesterday readign about those products . and on the back of the package it said something about To make it less damaging , wait until its completly dry. I wouldn't buy those, cause it will fry and kill your hair!! Save your money and buy a ceramic straightener; and those things are actually good for your hair . They're usually about $100-150 .. unless you want to go REALLY REALLY expensive thats not really worth it , cause the $100 ones work FABULOUS. -- but remember DO NOT buy the ones that straighten your hair while wet. And when you're buying a straightener make sure it says its 100% ceramic, and not Ceramic Coated , cause those ones are just Ceramic on the top but metal on the bottom which will still end up damaging your hair.

Hope the advice helps!!

i have one of those straighteners and i suggest not using them..they severly damage your hair...especially the ends. i suggest blow drying your hair and then straightening with a regualr straightener.
