generally they can make it pretty dang straight if you do it for long enough. But you have to buy the good straighteners like chi's if you want your hair SUPER straight. also buy the stuff that you put in your hair before so you dont burn it all off. Try not to strighten your hair every day or it will make it unhealthy too.

yah...thats kina the whole point of it, just use alot of conditioner, and straightening cream, and you will avoid most damage.
