How do you get emo scene hair? I want to tease it, but It doesn't always turn out right!!?

So.. I really want emo scene hair! I know you have to tease it, but is there anything else? I have a straightener, hairspray, hair gel, and all the basic stuff.. like ponytail holders and clips. This is basically what I want my hair to look like:

Just not those colors.. but that style. It never turns out just right. I see so many people with hair like that, and I don't have it. :(

Razored layers and a straightener are good. It's also hard to do if you have virgin hair (never been dyed).

just go on youtube and type in scene hair or how to do scene hair it will show you all the steps and stuff. i reccomend "bed head" hairspray, thats what they use in the videos!

you have to have a lot of razored layers for that.. take that picture to your hair stylist and tell them you want your hair like that.. they should be able to show you step by step what to do..

use your flat iron to get it as straight as possible and a lot of hairspray and teasing... tease the entire crown of your head and then just smooth the top layer over it.....spray tons of hairspray and run your figers through it to mess it up a bit... then spray again to hold..

All you need is a product that is made to protect hair from damage due to using hair appliances (such as straighteners). Dab some of that on your bangs and then using a straightener straighten your hair so that instead of it being totally parted to the side you have it in your face. Then from there just shake the rest up and there you have it, you look like you just woke up%26lt;3 Oh and if your straightener is by Conair it might not come out as nice as possible, you could try Hot Tools straighteners or Chi ones that are found at most Ulta and other hair and makeup stores.
