Are GHD hair straighteners value money? Or should I look for another brand?

I have never bought straighteners over 鎷?0 before, so I want to get it right!!

Can anyone recommend a website to buy them from? Or is it best to buy from a salon?

I think that GHD's are totally worth the extra you pay for them. I have had mine for ages, they always leave my hair straight and silky smooth, and I have never had any problems with them.

There are alot of good brands out there i wouldnt go so far as to say GHD's are the best. Its whatever works for you. I think with GHD you pay for the name more than anything else. They're not using anything the other straightners aren't.

I currently use Remingtons

I did have GHD's but they broke. My best friend has GHD's and loves them. Its each to their own.

I was trying to get some GHD's for Christmas last year. I was having great trouble finding them in a store. Eventually, a lady working at Boots told me that they had been taken off the shelves because they keep breaking. After asking around, a few friends had previously had problems/breakages with theirs!

I got the Mark Hill cordless ones - and they are brilliant! They were 鎷?9 in Boots. They are in a stand to heat up, then you can walk around using them, and get a great result. My daughter (a former GHD fan) keeps pinching them and says they are so much better than her old ones.

nope GHD ARE THE BEST NONE OF THE OTHERS COMPAIR THERE SO GOOD I HAVE THE FAT ONES BUT HAVE STRAIGHTISH HAIR NATRUALLY MY BF JUST BOUGHT THE BIGGER ONES THINKING THEY WERE BETTER. GHD HAVE NECER GONE DOWN IN PRICE BECASUE THEY ARE WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY AND THEY LAST FOR YEARS AND YEARS MY MUM HAS HAD HER'S FOR 5 WHICH WAS WHEN THEY FIRST COME OUT. THERE IN A LEGUE OF THERE OWN THEY NEED TO BE BOUGHT THEY ARE EXCELLENT AND 100% WORTH IT, YOU WILL BE VERY VERY PLEASED WITH THEM...GIVE IT AGO!

you can ghd site by typing a search into your browser.I love ghds and my hairdresser uses them, in fact only time my hair looks decent is when I've had the ghd treatment, I cant seem to get the same effect with my straightners so guess what's on my xmas list,lol.Try ebay as well I've seen them on there.

i wouldnt recommend GHD. I had 2 that broke after a few months. I paid 閳?0 for the one i have now (remmington) and its perfect does the job for me and even does perfect GHD curls.. i think GHD's are way too expensive especially for throwing around your room when your getting ready !!!

I love my GHDs - got them for Christmas but would have happily paid lots of money for them. I think my husband got them from the website Look Fantastic - but if you do an internet search it will probably bring up lots of different suppliers.

i did have GHDs but they broke but i would recommend them as they are brilliant, both my sisters got their own after using mine so now i use theirs if they're here!!

i couldve sent mine away to get fixed but never bothered and my mum got me babyliss ones at christmas. they're not as expensive but nearly (there just not the same) as good!

i did buy mine from a salon and there was no problem in getting them. but you would get them cheaper if you bought them over the internet.

I have trevor sorbie ones and they ok, but my daughter has GHD`s and they do make your hair silkier and straighter...i borrowed them for my conference and my hair looked amazing. My sister got them on-line, dont know what site but tap it in and you should hit the jackpot.

yep ghds are the best there expensive but worth it, they heat up in like 5 secs and you can also use them to curl your hair aswell, i got mine from a salon medium ones cost about 9o pound in liverpool,

I have always used Ceramtech, they cost about 鎷?5 and I think they are much better than GHD. I got them as they are what my hairdresser uses, she swears by them and now I do too!
