None are the same as GHD, i have yet to find as good or better with long term use and i am a hairdresser. My last pair of GHDs lasted 5 years. Some Remmington ones i thought were as good lasted 7 months.

they just advertise them and say they are just like "ghds" but theyy are not

No there not a GHD brand. I don't have GHDs but I wouldn't use a none reputuable brand of hair straightners. They might not be reliable.

I use Nicky clarke hair straightners, these work well and I only paid 3 pounds for them on ebay!!

Okay I know I'm not answering the question but without a doubt the chi is the most amazing straightener ever. My mom has struggled with her frizz and curls for ten years she's researched and tried different straightners the other day we went to the beasuty shop and the lady straightened her hair in no time flat and so mom asked what the name of it was and the lady said it was a chi straightner.

There are a lot of reports of fraud related to GHD hair straighteners on ebay. In fact, there have been over 300 reports of fake GHD flat irons sold on ebay UK.

So, I stopped checking ebay a long time ago for deals unless I cannot find it anywhere else. The reason is because it is so easy for a company to head over to Asia and have a product 'cloned' so they can sell fakes for a profit. If the price is too good to be true, chances are it is.

If you really cannot afford a GHD (they have an amazing reputation actually), then the Original CHI is less than $90
