I am using my hair straightener for over 2 years now, it is a

CHI and I like it.

But the plates are kind of sticky. What is the best way to clean the plates?

I use rubbing alcohol on the plates, make sure it is turned off and completley cool before you use the alcohol.

I've always used a tiny bit of windex followed by a damp cloth to clean it up.

If they're ceramic, try ceramic cleaner, or, place a sheet of newsprint inbetween them and turn it on, using the newsprint to soak up the sticky.
