I think I have 'flyaway' hair. Will better straighteners help this/what will help?

After straightening my hair, especially on the sides, it always seems to 'flyaway' and looks fine (i.e. you can see individual strands of hair a lot).

Firstly, would better straighteners (i.e. GHDs) solve this?

Secondly, if not, what else stops your hair from going so you can see individual strands and flyaway.

I've looked closely, and there doesn't seem to be too many split ends either.

I use straighteners, ghd's but its very damaging if you use them alot, try some mousse or serum would be usefull.
